As you probably know, I love sharing my business “behind the scenes.” Today, I thought I’d pop in and share what’s on my mind for 2025.

My overarching theme for 2025 is “diversification.”

That means diversifying my:

  • Content channels
  • Offers
  • Income streams

That way, my entire income isn’t dependent on one traffic sourceone offer, or even one business.

I also want to bring back more joy and ease into my entrepreneurial world—something I felt I lost a bit while I was caring for my son and relying on one flagship course.

Why I’m Mixing Things Up

From 2021-2023, I was incredibly blessed to sell my SEO course essentially on autopilot, thanks to the sales funnels I had built and a period of relatively stable industry best practices.

But by late 2023, the SEO/blogging industry experienced a large upheaval with AI and Google’s Helpful Content Updates and I started feeling “blah” about selling a course in a rapidly changing niche.

I also realized that once everyone is doing something (like webinars and high-ticket funnels), I lose the spark for it—and I think my audience can definitely feel that lack of inspiration.

So, I’m on a mission to freshen things up in 2025 and re-inject the passion, fun, and connection into my business again.

Here’s how I’m going to make this happen:

1) Revamping My Offer Suite

First up, I’m totally redoing the offers in my business.

Instead of one huge (and expensive) signature course, I’ll be creating lots of smaller, bite-sized trainings for people to purchase a la carte.

There will still be an “everything membership” (my current Search Savvy Membership) for those who want access to ALL of my courses, trainings, community, and live office hour calls in exchange for an annual membership fee.

But if you’re not ready for the whole shebang, you’ll soon have plenty of smaller trainings to choose from as well.

This shift will require a lot of behind-the-scene re-tooling. (womp womp)

2) Diversifying Across Business Ventures

The other thing I’ll be leaning into for 2025 is growing my nutrition-focused membership, The Functional Nutrition Library.

We relaunched it in August 2024 and already have 80 active members and have earned over $11k, which I’m really proud of for a < $20/month offer!

I’d love to double that membership in 2025, which means experimenting with new marketing strategies. (More on that in a sec.)

In addition to diversifying my assets, I’m also dabbling in new income streams.

In 2024 Mediavine finally launched their lower tier ad network, Journey*, which has made it MUCH easier to monetize your website, even if you’re not getting a ton of traffic.

I’ve added Journey ads to most of my lower-traffic websites, which should bring in at least an additional $15k in 2025, almost completely passively at this point.

3) Learning New Traffic Strategies

As part of my quest to grow the Functional Nutrition Library, I’m going to branch out into new traffic acquisition channels.

I’m particularly interested in experimenting with discovery-based content that gets pushed out to people via algorithms….

…. since I think having BOTH discovery-based and search-based content is important for online business.

This is a whole new world for me, and it’s very different from SEO, so I will let you know how it goes and share all my most successful strategies inside the Search Savvy membership!

4) Implementing Fun, Lighthearted Selling

Bottom line, I want to enjoy my business again.

I want to feel connected to my people.

I want to offer actionable trainings that get results, without contributing to overwhelm.

And I want signing up for my offers to feel fun, exciting, and like a no-brainer.

I’ll be honest… I’ve been struggling to find the joy in the world at the moment. So I’m committed to cultivating it from within as much as possible.

So be on the lookout for a whole new outlook on “selling” in my biz!

5) Sharing Everything Behind-the-Scenes

As always, I’ll continue sharing my real-time wins, challenges, and pivots with you.

Sometimes it feels like so few people keep it real online…

… yet I consistently find myself gravitating to those who do.

For example, I really enjoyed Jay Clouse’s “year in review” post that came out this month, in case you’re looking for something new to read.

I’ll publish my own 2024 year-in-review post eventually… probably after I finish my taxes 😅.

Anyway, lots of shifts are coming for 2025, so I just wanted to give you a heads-up!
